Amy (Huddersfield)

Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD) BMus (Hons) & IDTA.

Amy seems like a REBEL veteran having been with us since 2010 at our Huddersfield School.  Amy currently teaches Performing Arts, Musical  Theatre, Tap and Singing REBELs at our Huddersfield School and covers Performing Arts at our Leeds School.

Amy is classically trained and she excels in teaching within all disciplines in the Musical Theatre genre.  Amy is trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Freestyle … so basically a dance wiz!  An interesting fact about Amy is that she is an exceptionally accomplished flute player… she has even been on tour in Italy with an orchestra and played flute on the BBC London Proms at the Royal Albert Hall!

Favourite Musical:

I love them all! If I had to narrow it down, I’d say West Side Story (Bernstein was ahead of his time), Chicago for the style and Wicked for the vocals.

Favourite Song:

Can’t pick one! I love all music and genres.

Favourite Quote:

“All the best performers bring to their role something more, something different than what the author put on paper. That’s what makes theatre live”.
